I decided to do an overview of the 10 key stages that I beleive are fundamental to getting some success with your Affiliate Marketing.

1. Search Engine Optimisation (AKA SEO)

This is wher you should spend quite a bit of time… Your choice of niche keywords are vital to the success of your affiliate site. There are many approaches and tools to help you generate massive hot niche keywords for your content. Highly recommended keyword search tool is “WordTracker” and the paid version have many functionality to help you generate plenty of hot niche keywords. Although for starters, you can use the free version.

Another significant element for your content is “keyword density”. There is no success rule for keyword density. But many experts say that the keywords should be around 2-5% of the total words in the article.

2. Feed Your Chosen Market with Highly Relevant and Quality Articles

I was slightly skeptical to start with, but i’ve found that article marketing proves to be one of the most effective techniques to drive more potential buyers to your affiliate website. One of the best sites i’e founfEzines and Associated Content are some of the reliable article submission sites. Make sure that you include your site’s URL in the resource box so readers will know where to look for more of your quality articles.

3. Publish High Quality Newsletters

Loads research has show that email promo marketing is the best technique to reach your potential customers. Remember, people are always checking email everyday. So if you want to get more potential buyers, email marketing is a must. (not a maybe). If you provide great newsletter with up-to-date information, your readers will be referring their friends to your site.

4. Place Your Posts on Your Blog and Market Your Blog Online

Blogging is the fastest growing technologies in the industry now. Most of internet users have their own blog. Some have more than one blog. It is obvious that the internet marketing entrepreneurs can market their product to get more potential buyers through blogs. There are many approaches to drive quality traffic to your website. With the right strategies, they can reach wider range of potential buyers and grow your blog rapidly.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that I am slowly building up my affiliate money that I make directly from this blog. This is not a full time thing, but very much a project that I do in my spare time.

I thought i’d share some income news with you.  Not to boast in any way, but to say that this stuff does work.

In December 2008, I was promoting a product called Info Millions. It was a product where you just paid Frank Kern for the delivery cost of the Info Millions pack and then there is the option of a monthly pack that you can receive for a small monthly fee. That’s obviously where Frank and Trey make their money and also where the affiliates do too.

My efforts

All I did was simply blog about the product twice, and put it on twitter about 5 times. That’s it. I probably spent about 1 hour max and have made $110.42 in recurring income. You can see the breakdown on the screenshot. Not bad for 1 hours work, and don’t forget that this will carry on (as long as the users keep subscribing).

Now please remember that I am doing this on a fairly small scale. Just imagine if I had a lot more people visiting this site. I currently have only about 1000 a month and also many more twitter followers. I have about 1000 now compared to about 100 when I promoted Info Millions.

Use The News

On your Facebook homepage, you have a news feed from all your friends.  Don’t ignore this as it can be incredibly valuable for finding ways to add value!  Maybe you see something from one of your friends that you can share with the rest of your network.  Maybe there’s something there that you can learn from (remember to say “thank you” if that’s the case!)  More often, there’s simply something in there where you feel you can add value through a comment. 

Which brings us finally onto…

Comment Often

Comments are a great way to interact without needing to come up with something new all the time.  It tells the person that you’re commenting on that you care enough about them to read their feed, and it exposes you to their network of friends!  If you always strive to add value through comments, this can be a great way to increase your own network.

These tips only scratch the surface of using Facebook in your business.  Once you’ve mastered them, you’ll have a strong foundation for your marketing efforts that you can build upon with more advanced strategies.  In the meantime, take the time to implement these top 5 tips to business success on Facebook.
